Team Support
Yoga Nidra belongs in the workplace. Whether you are a small team looking to engage meaningfully with a rewarding and beneficial team activity or a large organisation wanting to support teams with practical skills for mental wellbeing — Yoga Nidra is a great option for you and your team.
Creativity and Problem Solving
Yoga Nidra is an effective way to expand into creative spaces and new ideas. When we work to tight deadlines and are constantly producing, it is impossible to keep tapping the same source of inspiration.
The same goes for creative problem solving. Yoga Nidra is the same state of consciousness that Einstein was in when using creative visualisation for complex solution building. Salvador Dali also used the same practice, utilising a spoon to ensure that he stayed in a state of suspended wakefulness — if he fell asleep, the spoon would drop and he would wake up.
Yoga Nidra makes non-linear thought much more attainable. It is fun and playful, giving you and your team a way to view something from multiple different angles, letting the pre-frontal cortex relax and take a step back, allowing the unconscious and its rich world of imagery and abstract thinking to come to the fore.
Mental Wellbeing
My teacher uses this analogy — if you are holding a cup full of water, it is not very heavy. However, if you are holding the cup for three hours, you will be struggling to keep your arm up.
In the same way, we need to let our minds rest — finding comfort, playfulness, and relaxation that supports mental wellness and the nervous system.
I create simple Yoga Nidras, appropriate for quick relaxations or for something more substantial to support with burnout and chronic stress.
More than anything, Yoga Nidra is relaxing. The body is at ease and the mind is refreshed.
This is a very effective tool to support your team’s work life balance.
Yoga Nidra is a secular, safe, accessible practice that can be done in any office and most work environments. I am able to support your team remotely or in person depending on location.
